Fabric shopping today! After finishing work at the dental clinic this afternoon, my friend Karen and I went with 4 local crew members to the Grande Marche or grand market or crazy huge market area to look for African fabric. The Congolese women here wear beautiful dresses tailor made with bright African fabrics so shopping for fabric in the market is a must have cultural experience. One of our co-workers local sister helped us find the right fabric shop and then took all of us to her favorite tailor to be measured for African dresses promised to be ready for us in about 10 days.
